gotta love some of the stupid comments on this... given not many people like them and it is expected from Hot Rod's facebook. lol! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...99145132539.141591.13601527539&type=1&theater hopefully you can see it. here is screenshot.
I was reading them earlier, lots of Maverick "experts" that don't know $hit about them, but they think they do....
Comments seem pretty typical to me. Some people love them, some hate them, some just don't understand why. If you have a thin skin or care what others think, you own the wrong car.
So maybe I'm the one jelous and she's right. She is talking about a Maverick afterall But yea.. Pretty typical.
Lol... I'll welcome any of them to come out and put their car against it. I feel bad for anyone that calls them self a car guy but have such strong opinion towards another car guys vehicle of choice.
Yea. I once had a guy put down my car as we were playing pin ball at a convienience store. He didn't know it was mine. He bragged about Camaros and talked alot of nonsense. After I made him realize I wasn't gonna let him play his next ball for awhile (kept racking up extra balls), I asked him where HIS Camaro was. He said he didn't have one. He showed up to the store on his bicycle lol. In his 20s and had a bike for his transportation.
It's not about having a thin skin. It's about hating stupidity. I understand that not everyone likes the same cars, but people are making derogatory comments on things they know jack-#### about. Such as referring to it as an "overgrown Pinto" (wow, 'cuz they have the same tail lights??), Stating as fact that the car in the photos is a "Comet" (because it has a similar hood scoop as a Comet GT?), and saying that Mavericks suck no matter what you do to them. There were many other ignorant-ass comments on there, and some were by people who know nothing about cars.
Kind of my point...You can't fix stupid and it's everywhere especially on Facebook. If you want someone to just smile and say "hey, nice mustang" and then you should buy a mustang. Probably less people to hate there. People won't be getting any smarter about a 40 year old car, especially one they barely remember or rarely/never seen a decent example. Changing that opinion won't be happening any time soon. Until it does, we just need to deal with our overgrown PintosI like mine.
That's the kind of guy that looks at your car and then spends the next hour bragging about his "dragster" that he has at home. When prompted to go home and get it, the response is usually "it has fuel issues right now" "the transmission is out of it" "it needs a tune up" etc etc etc & etc.
