I've been messing with mine almost every day since the swap. I just can't seem to get it do idle down smoothly. Or just off idle transition. I think it's time to buy a new carb. Or maybe first try a power valve plug. Never bought a new carb before, always rebuild older ones and never had a problem. Well I did buy a Predator once.

Drove over to Frank's house this morning to take the Merc (74 Comet GT) over to Harold's garage to make a Transmission mount for the WC T-5. You know, the world famous "Franks Mount" everyone talks about on this site. In short order, Harold raise the car on the lift, made some comments, then made the mount in records time. After Harold welded the mount, Frank took it to the back room to bead blastic it for about 10 minutes. Frank then took the mount outside for paint. While the paint dried, we drove over to a local subway for lunch. After eating the subs and Frank aggravating the waitresses until they were pulling their hair out, we drove back to Harold's garage to see my Merc sitting in the parking lot waiting for me take it on a cruise.
It was surely a good day for sure. Finally met Harold and found out why Frank thinks so highly of this guy. I must tell you, this mount is not going to break loose and looks good to boot.
Thanks goes out to Frank and Harold.

Got the floor sectioned it out, and removing all the damn spot welds. I cannot get the right angle with the spot weld remover because of the existing floor in the car now -- so I got it butt cut to where its flat, and took a disc grinder and grinding it down slowly, and individually. Pain in my arse!

Ordered up the metal for the firewall to get cut out then I will pop some cleco's in to hold it and go from there :)

Need to get everything cleaned up, measured and order some 2x3 .083 chassis tube, and begin the mock up process.
