Hello everyone. I'm a retired Ford Motor Company employee. I worked for 33 plus years in manufacturing. I bought a '72 Maverick 2dr LDO, factory 302, auto, p/s, factory a/c, buckets, column shift about 10 yrs ago from a man in Charlotte, N.C. I enjoyed driving the car for about 5 years until I decided to relive my childhood and removed the engine so I could build it up. The car still sits with the engine on a dolley under a tarp. The roof suffers from the vinyl roof rotting and the usual floor rot from the leaky windshield exists. The car has about 60,000 miles on it. I have a collection of parts I gathered over the years. I have a 289 long block (disassembled), 351W bare heads, a pair of 289/302 bare heads pulled from a dumpster during change over (damaged, but interesting). I have a 302 crankshaft, an Edelbrock "Torquer 289" intake manifold, an electronic distributor (curved at Ford Experimental Ignition Lab), ignition module, coil and wiring harness.........at any rate, I need to unload everything. I will put some photos up asap when I'm not busy teaching ceramics. Stay tuned. Hopefully some of you may be interested in what I have. Thanks.

welcome to here. I'm sure you will be able to get rid of this stuff....but wouldn't it be more fun to put it back together?

Yeah! I had a 71 pea green Maverick back in the 70's. I put a 289 built like a hipo at Ford Engineering by one of the mechanics in it and a 66 Mustang rear end with 3.50 gears in it. I used to race it on Telegraph. The only thing that beat it was a 440 6 pack Charger and a 68 Mustang with a Boss 302 in it. My best race (I won) was a 69 Nova with a 396 375 horse power 4 speed! He couldn't believe it when I told him it was a 289! Of course he didn't know it was blue printed and balanced at FOMOCO! It turned high 12's back then. Unbelievable! I wish I could find that car. There is a whole lot of BST in that one by me.

My maverick is still sitting, engine out, roof rusted through (vinyl top). I need to get rid of it. I also have assorted extra engine parts.
