Hello to everyone and a big thank you to any help I get in here moving forward!

    Here's my question...
I am looking for a grabber trunk or at the least the 3-piece spoiler set. Has anyone used this company and their spoiler?

-- On the "Ripoff Report" one person reviewed them and it wasn't all that nice. Course maybe some of you have had good dealings?

Anyone have a Grabber Trunk? :)

Mkay...My Mavs...history...(sorry about the big pics, I'll cut them down in the future)
-- Had a '72 Maverick in High school that eventually made it upto be ISCA worthy.
-- Then built the one in the avatar and showed it was well..
    -- Ended up with a 1966 Mustang...got bored...everyone freaking owns a Mustang...
-- Now I have a '72 Maverick ground up build...

Projection (I hope): Will be 532ci big block, Weiand 2-4 barrel tunnel ram, with the drivetrain from my Mustang. C6/35 spline narrowed 9 inch w/15x18x29 Mickey Thompsons on weld wheels.

    Thanks!

It hasn't been that easy to find thus far, like the ones there are gone, that's why I was looking at that company...but if there is any place to find one, I am betting it's on this site. :)

I've built my Maverick very similar to yours - what is your plan to put the strength back in your front frame rails since the towers are now gone - nothing left to prevent the frame from folding up but a bunch of spot welds attaching the front clip to the floorboards and torque boxes :tiphat:

Welcome from Ky. Kind of interesting is that I remember the car in your avatar being for sale years ago, always liked that car. Is that your car? Next, I remember the brown car from years ago on here being started. A guy that went by SteveH, I believe. It was a very inventive way to go about a front suspension for our cars. I remember watching with anticipation for the next installment, always wondered what became of that car. If I remember right Steve got a different car and went drag racing. Is this your car? Anyways, good to see the car again and good to have you here and I'll be waiting and watching for more installments.(y) Sounds like you have a good plan together for a very fast car.

PS From what I have seen and heard stay away from Unlimited Products. Be patient you will find a set, looks like you have a little time.

Lets see if I can catch up, first I am running the roll bar through the front (10pt) for my shocks and support.

Good memory Ward (on a lot of fronts)...the avatar Maverick was my '71 that sold probably amost 10 years ago to someone in Canada. I loved that car, but I found a '31 Ford 5-Window coupe built enough like the American Graffiti coupe (my dream car) and bought it. Got bored with hanging with the old guys (which I am) sitting in their lawn chairs, sold the '31 and came back to my roots. ('66 Mustang and now back home with the Maverick)

I don't know the dynamics, but I do know that it's the same guys and same brown Maverick you are talking about. My buddy found the deal and bought two Mavericks from "whomever"...the guy that delivered the cars seemed like the owner of the cars...but it did sound like he had a partner. The guy that dropped the cars started the build like 10 years ago and got into a helicopter accident and never got into it beyond how I got it. Fast forward a 6-8 months and I see the below Maverick at a cruise event. Hadn't seen it before (btw we have a cruise here, 3,000 cars show up for some old fashion cruising up and down Central ave.) so of course I had to go see it. Neat Maverick. Come to find out it's the guy you are talking about and I am sure the partner of the guy we bought the cars from. Note the name on the door. :)

The front suspension is inventive and I will let you know how it works out. My buddy is helping with the build (suspension expert and welder) and he was going to do something similar to a '66 Fairlane.

Thanks for the heads up on Unlimited...that was enough for me to pass on them.

Let me apologize in advance, I don't know how to post the icon pics yet, but I'll learn. The guy Ward was talking about....

If you go to "General Maverick/Comet: section and then begin a new thread under "Maverick/Comet Projects", you could keep adding your progress reports with photos and we can follow your progress easier through a single build thread. Looking forward to seeing how you make out.

I also added down cage tubes to the front frame rails and they now connect to the main cage via the firewall - otherwise I would fold up my front rails with the towers gone (y)

Don Graham, who is on here a lot, lives in your area and used to bracket race alot. I think maybe his age is slowing him down,(just kidding Don). Anyways, if you get a chance to meet Don and his wife Ruth, they are great people. There are some others out there also, Ryan and I'm drawing a blank on others but they are out there. By the way, what is your name?
