I just recently recaught the car bug. I thought I'd shaken it for good a few years ago but I guess there is no real cure. Anyway, back when I was in High School, my dad bought a 1972 Ford Grabber for my sister to drive back and forth to college. We already had a 72 Ford LTD as the family car and my dad was driving a '68 Mustang with a 390 V8 stuffed in it. Anyway, I didn't want to drive the family boat and my mom wouldn't let me drive the Mustang unless it was the only car available. (I think she knew....) My sister soon decided it wasn't worth taking the Maverick to college since parking sucked and the drive was horrible. Instead she joined a sorority and as long as I picked her up on Friday evenings to bring her home and took her back to the sorority house on Sunday evenings, the car was mine. I had a blast in that car!!! I did end up driving the Mustang quite a bit, when I somehow convinced mom and dad that it was a perfectly safe car and I was very responsible. I'm looking to recreate some of my misspent youth and a custom Maverick seems a bit less mainstream than a Mustang. Cheaper too... I've always marched to a bit of a different drummer, so it's the Maverick that I want to buy and customize... Just going to spend some time reading and learning. It's likely going to be a while before I can afford to jump into this project.

I just want one. Your neighbors must love you. Half of mine would throw a fit if I had that many "extra" cars... Luckily two of my 4 cars are away to school with my kids but when they're home... They all bring back some nice memories. Can't wait...

thats not the half of the car collection theres lets see 1 74 comet 1 72 comet gt 1 72 comet 1 72 maverick 1 postal jeep 1 suburban 1 silverado and a 16' car trailer here that all belong to me my wife or son AND all were parked on the street for about a week me and my neighbors have developed a special relationship ..........leave me alone and Ill leave you alone. as long as Im not blocking your driveway or making a ton of noise everyday it would be wise of you not to say anything, because I can make it much worse. Ive already had my fight with code enforcement and the city and theyve learned to leave me alone as well. Im not going anywhere and everything is registered and insured so theres nothing they can do since none of it is for sale and everything but the maverick runs some people hoard money I hoard old cars lol if youre in the area shoot me a message or you can call 916-289-8450 Duane maybe you have time to stop by for more encouragement to buy a comet
