My dad gave me his 1972 Comet GT for my birthday a few years ago and, now that I have a source of income, I can finally begin work. I've wanted this car for as long as I can remember, so having it is one of the greatest feelings, even if it is a little rough. It has all the body panels and all of the interior, but it's scattered about. No engine and no transmission. Wish me luck in my quest.

    :Welcome: from Northeast Pennsylvania

Once you clean that up with soap and water, it won't be looking rough for long - I actually had moss growing on mine before I cleaned it up :hmmm:

Yeah, a lot of that is dust. Thankfully it's been sitting in a garage since at least '85.

You're lucky - mine sat outside in Pennsylvania on wooden blocks for about that same time frame - the wooden blocks collected moisture and rotted out some of the torque boxes - chipmunks created a colony in my rocker panels and the mice ate my headliner - plus the moss growth but only on the north side :rofl2:

It didn't hurt that the interior was redone sometime (I feel mid 90's? I remember seeing all the interior in it when I was young) and sat, some parts wrapped in plastic, under a canopy next to my uncles garage. The front seat were not wrapped and looked new after an intense cleaning session. Meguiar's works miracles.
