front drum question

    my driver side brake locked up on me and I took a hammer trying to knock it loose and while doing so the balancer weight fell off.will this effect my brake drum balance if so how do I get the weight back on the drum

    you can jb weld it back on or just tack weld it.

    I'd be more concerned about why it locked up.

    I had thought about using jb weld! The drum locked up casue the wheel cylinder went bad

    DO NOT BUY THE CHEAP ONES FROM AUTOZONE! i just went through 3 or 4 from them till i got a different brand. even this one i am skeptical about but i need the car on the road.

    I buy most of my parts from O'Reily auto parts or Nethertons which is a old school parts store still in business they sell a lot of motorcraft and Ac-delco brand good quality parts.Auto zone is the worst I don't like them at all

    I like choosing my manufacture. A lot of this stuff is imported to make money. Very little is still made in the U.S.A.

    I replaced both front wheel cylinders and adjusted the drums front and back now it pulls hard to the left when brakes applied ,doe sit need more adjustments on the front right
    ? ??

    make sure your right wheel cylinder is bled properly. you can check the adjustment too as well as the auto adjuster wheel.

    I bled out all 4 corners twice but I will do it again to be sure.

    You probably need to replace your soft brake lines. They get bulgy and then you can never balance the brake pressure.

    I have thought about the rubber lines ,but they look like they aren't very old the fronts and the rear one have been replace at least 2 yrs ago,cause I do know its been 2 yrs since any work was done cause I bought the car from a widow whos husband died 2 yrs back
