My car still has a long way to go so unless I come up with with about $20,000 today so I can take off all week and buy everything that I still need then ill be there, but thats not going to happen. Maybe next year...
Weatherman is predicting around 80 degrees on Sat for the show. Should be a lot of cars if this holds up. Come on down and get out of that cold weather. Jim
Is anyone going on the NPD pony trail this Friday ? and forecast for Saturday is 80* chance of rain/t-storms , Sunday sunny.....
the cold snap put me behind.....my customers want their jobs done yesterday...might have to miss this year.....
I remember that show very well. I went the year before and was wearing shorts. The year after when it snowed I took pics of icycles hanging off the cars...and we all stayed huddled up in Jims heated tent!! Still had a great time though. Wish I could make it again.
Ray, we missed seeing at the show, maybe next year with your Sprint Mav. Today, I rode with Ken over to Cedar Key on the Pony Trails. Great time and his Grabber ran flawlessly. Weather at the Gulf was perfect, shorts temperatures(80 degrees). Tomorrow is the show. We may get a little wet, but it will be good anyway. After all, it IS all about the people. The cars are just an excuse to get together. Jim
Acouple of good things happened at the show today. First, the rain held off until after 6 pm to give everyone a good day at the show. Temps were in the mid 70's( felt warmer than that in the sun). Shorts weather!! Secondly, Dennis Gage stopped by my Cougar and asked if he could interview me for a future My Classic Car segment. Wow, was I ever shocked!! Put on a microphone and away we went! Can't wait to see how it turned out. Also, the local paper got information from Ken and Rocky about their Mavericks for release in the newspaper!! How about that for a day's work!! Great show so far this year!! Jim
Congratulations Jim...I hope you combed your hair and had your shirt tail stuck in. Be sure to give us an air date so we all can watch the show
It was a great weekend... 7 mavericks Saturday, 2 Sunday... About 1000 cars total and that was with a 80* chance of thunder storms on Sat. NO RAIN
