So I can't get my maverick to start again. The battery has power, it tries to turn over, but it won't catch. Like the starter spins, and I have to push the gas to get it to fire, but it takes a good while for it to actually run. I don't know how to explain it. I replaced the spark plugs, the control module, battery, distributor cap, cleaned the carb. It just won't start, and I hate to keep dragging out my starter to get the motor to run. It's a 75 250 four door. Maybe the starter siolniod?

If the starter is turning the engine over it's not the solenoid. I would guess it's a bad fuel pump.

Take the air cleaner off and look to see if the gas is getting to the carb when you try to crank the engine. Look to see if the choke is closing. Check to see if all vacuum lines are connected, and not cracked or broken.
It may have jumped timing, check this.

If there is a lot of gas in the carburetor, maybe the needle and seat is sticking and flooding it.
