That looks cool, Ian! There may have been some other threads started on this subject in the past, but I haven't seen them in over a year.

I haven't put a personalized plate on my Grabber yet. I've been trying to decide what to get. There was a new-to-NB Grabber at the Nationals this summer and his plate was "GRABS".

I currently have "FRDMAN" (Fordman) on my truck and it WAS on my 77 4dr Maverick back in 1998.

Here, it's outrageous to use YOM plates, also twice as much as custom, but Histroic are 18/year. So I'm running those now.

VA charges same for a antique registration whether you provide the plate or DMV issues it... Permanent, one time $50, no renewals necessary... If you want it personalized they'll send you bill for $10 every year(can pay multiple years)... Most of the old car guys run year of mfgr plates, but newer than '73 requires a DMV issued plate as we went month & year stickers in '74...

73, was the last "dated" plate for Ontario, I have a set, but it was something like $270, and I have to send them in, so they can see the condition. Then they are just White with Blue letters, like they've been since then, and they are still the same, we have the most boring plates in North America, unless you are a Treckee, then you can get the Star Trek logo on your plate...

I tried to get a hold of my contacts for the hood, but never ever heard back.

I'm hoping (fingers and everything else crossed) that I can make it to Moncton this summer. I believe Kevin (77comet) is planning on bringing his Maverick. I'll be some upset if I can't take mine.

I found a new set of manufacturer year plates for Colorado and was going to use those in place for the collector plates. You can use manufacturer plates as collector plates.

I will have to dig up the original plates from the North West Territory of Canada. They were shaped like a polar bear. Grandma and Grandpa lived in Yellowkinfe.
