Any reason I shouldn't move the wiring harness to run behind engine?

If you guys haven't ever built a full wire harness, it can be an adventure. I used to build wire harnesses for boats, electric motorbikes, and various military applications. It can be a real headache the first time you try and assemble one of these giant spaghetti monsters.

Do yourself a favor if you go the route of building your own, get a BIG piece of plywood, a box of nails, and a big sheet of paper. DRAW out the lengths you need for each part, use the box of nails for routing and hanging your connectors. It's a big help and how they do it in the factory to begin with.

I bought a fuse box at autozone and fed it switched power from the 12 volt stud on the original fuse box. I use the new box to run all my add ons and my pertronix... cost me about $20 bucks, has been working great for two years now...
