Vintage Air is using my car for their ads. This was in the Goodguys Gazette. It should also be showing up in the Ford magazines from what they told me.
That photo was taken at the Power Tour last year. He took the photo, then tracked me down at registration and told me who he was and that the car would likely be used for their print adverts if it was OK with me. He then asked if I had AC. I should have said no. Maybe they would have given me one. Yes I have the Vintage Air Gen IV unit. It was working until I had a major electrical short that fried the CPU on it. I think Im going to hit them up for a new CPU since they are using my car now. LOL.
Yeah that's neat n'all to get your pick used for an advertisement but a guy has got to get paid!!!! You need like a freebie discount!!! Remember they invested "zero" in you and are using your genius to sell products. Congrats on the pick but I’m dead nuts serious, you need to get paid.
BTW, Vintage Air does big business. Watch any auction, a high percentage of cars roll accross the block with their systems. IMHO, they should know better.
Chris, I know this is sort of a late reply but I just found this thread. I think it is great that they selected your car for their advertisement sheets. It should make you proud of what you have done. I just recently discovered that Phoenix Graphix is using a pic of my 73 grabber for their 73 Grabber decal advertisement on their website. Just makes me happy to see that my car is liked enough by someone else that they would want to use it. I am sure I will never get anything out of it, but when I go to do my stripes on it after paint I just might ask to see if they will give me a stripe kit free. It can hurt to ask. All they can do is tell me no. Allen Small
