My mechanic looked at my 1974 Maverick, and said that it needed a turn signal control. He's saying he's having trouble finding one, and I really don't know what he's talking about. I can find turning signal switches. But nothing that says control/ Any help?

Ask your mechanic if that is what he needs

Gotta be a miscommunication, either that or you need a new mechanic...

Only components for signal light operation are bulbs, wiring, switch and flasher...

Well it has to be a switch. Where's a good switch?

And does anyone have a picture of the CORRECT one. I've grown tired of being told a certain part will fit, but then find out it doesn't.

That thing from autozone is a replacement cam - don't do it - it is a band-aide repair at best as they just don't last like a new switch.

The ebay switch is a good price - but before buying, pull your old switch and make sure it matches. Over the years, no telling what was swapped into these old cars. Better safe than sorry.

The AZ parts are a repair kit that may or may not fix your problem, ebay listing is completer switch assembly...

If you replace the switch...you will need to remove the wire going to the shift selector and put it on the new switch. Be sure to buy a 73-77 switch. The earlier switch is a different animal altogether and won't fit in a 73-77 column. See http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=97224

I thank you guys so much. This has been a huge pain in the butt, but I'm learning a lot.
