I'm restoring a 69 1/2 maverick drag car from the early 70's. the body is super nice and all the performance parts are period correct, but the hood is gone. I'm looking for a vintage fiberglass hood(pro-stock style scoop ideal) but consider any. Will be grateful for any help. THANKS !!! and HELLO again.
A"Vintage" fiberglass hood is going to be hard to find. The quality of current fiberglass holds (with exception of MaverickMan's) are less than satisfactory. You will most likely glass the scoop on yourself.
Here is a company offering a version of the pro stock hood, I know nothing of its quality: http://www.usbody.com/
check VFN fiberglass for a hood or get maverick mans carbonfiber hood and paint it those will be your best choices for quality fit
Welcome from Ohio. I have a crites hood, but its with the scoops... http://smegnl.medina.oh.us/index.php/maverick/76-crites-hood
