My power steering stopped working on my 73 Mav. I had replaced the power control valve and the pump about a year ago, The power steering pump was still full and there was minimal whining. I replaced the pump today and still no power steering. The only thing I hadn't replaced was the power steering cylinder. I'm hoping the control valve didn't go bad again. They aren't cheap.

Rode's Restorations in Gallion, OH is your friend when it comes to power steering.

I heard that! Me Too! My Comet has pwr steering and I don't plan on doing it any other way. I see the Unisteer also. Everything I've driven for the last 40+ yrs had PS and everything I drive frm now on will have it.

The Uni-steer unit for Mavericks and Comets was highlighted in the last volume of Popular Hot Rodding magazine, in the list of stuff they liked from SEMA.

I just looked at their (unisteer) website all I see is Power rack&pinion setups.....anybody using a manual rack with reasonable effort? something with less effort than our cars manual steering?
