Bucket seats in a 70

    I want to put bucket seats in my 70 maverick but i heard i might have trouble with the floor pans. Is this true? What seats, if any, will fit? Aside from obviously maverick and comets

    Really any seat will work...you will just have to add spacers to any seat to get them to sit level.

    '72 Maverick, 347 c.i., w/ dual quads, TKO 600 5-speed transmission, back halved w/ 4-link, '16 F150, 5.0 Coyotte, regular cab, shortbed, lowered 3/5 & 1-owner '79 Trans Am.
    I agree with Craig. I installed '89 Mustang GT seats in my '72 using the slides from the factory bench on the driver's seat and square tubing to bolt the passenger seat down.

    Since mine came with the bench we had to drill the inside holes after measuring the tracks. Notice that the bottom of the seats are flat. I used pipe spacers on the inner bolts on each seat and the passenger seat has a 1" square tube under the inside seat rail with spacers. It has no fore or aft adjustment, just recline.
