    If it's an auto, pull the driveshaft. Not sure on all transmissions, but I know most will burn the internals up if you don't, the front pump is not turning to lube everything up.

    If you pull the driveshaft, I'd recommend getting a spare yoke to slide into the transmission, to avoid a 750 mile-long trail of ATF. A couple of zip-ties, bungee cords or a small ratchet strap should hold the yoke in place.

    I have flat pulled ours with a friend's Durango from southern Arizona to Cincinnati. All of New Mexico was through a snow storm. Other than the snow we ran at 60 MPH.
