Has anyone on the forum installed a GT 350 Shelby racing apron on their Maverick? I found in the archieved threads a 2006 thread in which there was some discussion about installing one on a Maverick.

    I owned a 1966 GT 350 from 1970 to 1987. I was at a local car show last
September and discovered the car there, being shown by the gentleman who had bought it from me 25 years ago. I began thinking about the car and about
my son's Maverick. The son was tired of the Maverick so I traded my Nissan Frontier to him for his Maverick. It is a driver, six cylinder, solid car needs paint
and good interior. I am going to build a "mini GT" out of the Maverick, hence the question about the racing apron, Bill

I can't recall seeing one, but with enough work, anything is possible.

I think I remember seeing one quite a few years back. I'll check the computer tomorrow to see if I saved any photos.

Yes, I agree that anything, (almost) can be done under the right circumstances. However
finding someone who has done it would give me a leg up on the project. I am thinking that
my fender extensions may be able to be fiber glassed into a slightly narrowed apron and then find some other attaching points along the front. Maier Racing is not far from my location in San Jose so I should make it a point to go visit them and see what help they may be able to give, Bill

I knew I had seen pictures of the front Shelby apron before!

See pics below. They were from a for sale ad in 2004 that I helped they guy post: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=10727.

Unfortunately, these are the only photos I was given.
