That is pretty cool to see a 429 packed (barely) under the hood. My shock towers are cut and filled with flat plate, but I have tried to visualize how much more room could be had if the filler panel was curved and followed the spring's contour. That may be a solution in this case. Or adapting cut-down stock tower metal. The ones done like that look so much cleaner. I'm liking John's idea about the coilovers, too ... This thing needs all the room it can get.

With it having the Mav bumper, all it needs now is a Mav hood along with the Comet grille for a Shelby de Mexico clone. :D

The way the back bumper was switched, while still using the late fender caps, and then blacking out the taillight bezels ... if you cross your eyes a little, it looks very 1971 Mustang fastback. It took me a couple of views for that to finally register why I was getting that vibe.

I`d want to have 4 wheel discs all around, stopping thatcar w/ that much weight in the nose could be a chore.Good luck w/ your build.

The cut shock towers are great as far as plug changes go. My 351W is so much easier than it was stock with the 302.

One set of wrenches for 7 plugs ... the back one on the passenger side needs a different set of tools.

I grade automotive repair difficulty on three scales ...

    Stock 302 .... 2 beers, 2 busted knuckles, 6 cuss words.

351 .... almost 1 beer, no bleeding, no cussing.
