tail light wiring diagram?

    does anyone have one to post? i searched the forum and cant find it. trying to do corvette style tails on the comet. you know both left side light up on left turn. and all 4 when brake and driving. already got rid of the clear backup lights. thanks in advance.

    A common mod. All you have to do it tap into the light next to it.

    isnt that how comet lghts work anyway?

    i guess i never been behind one and payed that much attention

    be sure to post some pics when they're on. were always intrested in new tail light ideas areound here :)

    well all the wires are gone, so i wanted to pigtail it at the wheel well. theres 5 wires there and i dont know what each one is. :huh:1 for fuel sending unit, 1 for brakes, 1 for running, 1 for back up lights, and is 1 for ground??:huh: just dont know what color goes where. oh and 1 for tag light???

    The rear harness in my '72 was a hacked up mess when I got he car, too. I just used a test light on each wire. Turn the left turn signal, poke each wire until you find one that makes the light blink, mark it. Turn the right turn signal on, repeat. Turn the headlights on, repeat... and so on... Both lights have two wires going to them. One wire is for the turn signal and brake light, the other is for the tail light. The light grounds through the housing.

    i had planned on doin that but i went a lil over board and pulled the windsheild, dash, steering column and motor. money slowed me down some so i want to start on something else, got all the ground wiring done starting on the brake/turn lights tonight.

    hey jamie, you go to pullapart alot. have you been to the one in Norcross? any mavs or comets? i think i'm goin tomarrow or am i wastin my time?
