I am pretty certain that the bracket is all the same. And like stated, the cable would also need to be changed.
Those bolts holes are really on the underside of the intake log. Look (or feel) it over real good.
I will also vote for oil gauge leakage.

Early pitman arm has a hole on the end that attaches to the steering. The later pitman arm has a stud on the end that attaches to the steering....

The leaf spring needs to be mounted in the bottom hole to increase the wow factor.

The curve of the stripe should follow the curve of the hood scoops, placing it perfectly on the hood.
You basically need to follow the curve around the scoop area, and it will place it perfectly on your hood.
