I know a friend of mine had a wieand mini blower on a 351, the intake was for a 302 . he had some spacers between the head and the intake....

Couldn't you just undo the convertor bolts, and push the convertor back away from the flexplate?

Well got it all the way apart today, the pin was sheared clean off at the cam. the center bolt was tourqed almost to totally breaking off, figure...
