Thanks! Seems so simple now that I see the four bolts in the trunk! (y)
Hi. I realize this is an older post but I am getting ready to order a rear valance and looking for some advice. I have a 70' Mav. What is the best...
Did you get it figured out? You are definitely getting spark at the plugs? Sounds like the same problem I just had except I did not have anything...
I see this is an old post but did you get that straightened out?
Ah, good idea. I've never taken one apart. after you removed the tube and linkage that doesn't affect reassembly? Everything good and snug?
I know the routine, when I moved it took me 2 years to get back on the mav project! Well now you have a good reason to finish it. So I can see...
Any chance you coud post a pic of the finished look?
Ok thanks - I've heard of the 69.5 having the key under the dash but have never set eyes on one yet.
Thanks for the responses everyone. mav1970 - My ignition key is on the column. Good to know about the truck column Rick, thanks for the link too....
Since I put in a floor shifter I always wanted to do something with the steering column. Basically something to do away with the old column...

Thank you sir- I had quit looking actually. Do you think they will fit the 70' ? I wonder why the don't list the 70' ?
What about using just a push-in type plug? They make ones that can withstand high temps: http://www.stockcap.com/prod_detail.asp?id=190&cat=18
Thanks for the reply guys. I was afraid I might hear that news, I had searched around a little on the web with no luck. The trim I have on there...
I have chrome trim around the wheel wells and a strip down each side of the car. The ones down each side have black plastic in the middle to help...
Wouldn't it be brilliant if they had slots in the tabs for the clamp to slide through though? Do you have a picture of the tach on your steering...
Thats the only one I've ever seen.
I like how you placed the Maverick emblem behind the rear window, nice touch. Great looking ride.
Does anybody know what the two tabs are for? If you are just using a large hose clamp, the tabs seems like they would be in the way....
