WOW! The First Annual Fall Cruise and Show for the Georgia Maverickers was great. We had 20 (including family) meet for barbeque. We had a total of seven Mavericks to show up. Great people, great cars, and great food.

We got to meet a newbie, John Ferguson (aubman2) and his son, who came down from Anderson, SC. (Note to Rick Porter - he likes us Georgia guys and gals.) Mike's friend, Olin, joined us and brought his Mustang II that has an engine with a bit of a crackle.

After a great lunch at Fresh air BBQ, all the Mavericks lined up and cruised up the road about six miles to the City of Jackson courthouse square. All the cars parked around the square, by the court house and in front of stores. It made for great photo opps. We all gathered around a statue dedicated to war heroes and made pictures. Here's a link to soundless video of seven Mavericks coming up the road:

Next, all the cars followed Earl up the highway about 15 miles to the Tanger Outlets in Locust Grove, GA for their last car show of the year. It was great to see seven Mavericks lined up together at a car show. Ralph Price (Greengrabber) met us at the show and it was nice to put a face to his postings. He's a great guy and works for Mustangs Unlimited.

James Edwards got to change a tire and that was story itself. I'll let someone else tell that one. I did take pictures of that little event, including Frank helping.

Here's a photo album of pictures I took today. They are in order of the happenings. You will see that James likes to eat barbecue.

Man I'm tellin' you what, I had a blast!! Met Ralph, John and his son, James, Mike's son and Wayne for the first time today. I had a blast just hanging out and talking to everyone.

The car show was great. John and his son headed out first, and Terry, Wayne and Frank left later in the evening. Earl, Ralph, myself, Dan, James, Mike and Sonny stuck around until after the show was over and went over to Denny's to eat. After we were through we hung out in the parking lot for about an hour just talking about stuff in general. We all eventually rolled out of the Tanger parking lot at about 11:30 tonight! I just walked in the door a few minutes ago.

Huge thanks to Terry for arranging this. We really had a great time. As if it wasn't said enough already today, we really gotta do this more often!

Thanks for sharing the pics and vid.

I'm glad it was a successful event (even though I believe I saw a pic of someone

I checked to see if the BBQ place had "Fish flavored tater tots" Rick but they said you had to go "up North" to find those!:D :29:

I appreciate all the accolades, but Frank deserves some applause. He met me at Fresh Air back in Spetember and we rode around one Saturday afternoon looking at different venues. Othe than that it was a just a phone call or two.:tiphat:

I spoke with Phil today and he is looking forward to accomnodating us on Saturday, December 16 for our Christmas Party Breakfast. The only thing he said was that he stops cookng breakfast at 11:00 AM. I think the 9:30 time we discussed last night will be fine. I'll do up a flyer and post it soon with all the details, including the address of the restaurant (so you can Google or Mapquest directions).:bouncy:

I appreciate everybody's attendance yesterday. We all love Mavericks, but it is about the people and we have a great bunch.:clap::clap:
