There is a red maverick that appears periodicly throughout the movie. Pretty good shot of the car at teh end of the movie. Its a 70-72

Towards the end of the movie there is a girl and boy haveing a picnic or something and in the backround there is a small bumper Grabber. The car was red and looked pretty good the girl drove it.

the movie "dazed and confused" has been out for quit sometime, but I never saw it on this fourm, there is a red comet gt in the movie (i think its a comet, but in one shot of the movie If memerory serves I would swer it had a maverick badge on the fender) I haven't seen the movie in about 6 mo. and I don't have a copy here or I would check it out. either way its pretty sweet lookin and it's driven by a chic. maybe somebody else has seen the movie and confirm wether its a mav or comet...I myself am pretty sure its a comet...the car is in quite a few scenes ex...school parking lot....at a drive in ......and way towards the end of the movie you can get a really good look at it the chic and a guy are lying on a blanket out side the car.

Yup I've seen it! Its sweet too! its gotta be a 71 or 72 because it has a grabber hood. There is a scene when they are driving and the camera is on the hood and you see right in the scoops!

Its funny that I came in this forum to post this!

It's a small bumper Grabber with an incorrect paint job. No black on the hood, mustang GT350 style stripes on the rocker panels and a black Comet GT style stripe(thinner though) on the sides.
Wrong paint job but very nice none the less.

yeah, I thought I saw one in there, I also saw the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" the other day, there is a green small bumper mav at the car wash/detail where the red 69 vette gets stolen

Nope, you're not the only one. I've seen it before, I just never paid much attention. Did you watch the "Making Dazed" special after the movie?

dmhines........I believe they called it a 'classic' because it's got lots of old cars in it as stars in their own right. The 'grainyness of the film lends itself to appear much older than it is. It is 13 years old too. A lot of the members here were still wearing diapers. Who am I kidding............some of them still are!
    I'm not naming any names.:D

I did watch some of the how we made it show after the movie.
I have seen 3-5 yr. old movies on AMC.

I guess when they get dropped by HBO etc. they move on to
    the next one.
Heck, ESPN Classics run college football games from last season
    all the time!

That's a stock '71 or '72 Grabber. '70s did not have the hood...
