Hard to see in the picture but the chrome is mint on both of them ... just need to spray them black and put them in the Grabber. Now the panels will be as nice as my upholstery ...

Clint ... I know you were interested in the ones I have in the car now with some peeling chrome. If anyone else is interested let me know ... They are deluxe style panels and require the LONG arm rest base and armrest. And, obviously, they are for 70/72 doors ....

$50 plus shipping .... box is kinda large so figure no more than $20 shipping ... Here is a pic I have of them in the car ....

They were originally Ginger and I painted them black with Fusion Satin Black.

looks like you'd be the one to ask... what do I need to paint my metal part of the inner door with to not clash with the door insert? Black interior, same as yours...

I painted my doors with Interior Automotive Lacquer. First I cleaned them up with fine steel wool. Don't use anything too course or it will ruin the factory pattern that is stamped into the metal. Then you must spray several very light coats of paint until you have good coverage. Do not put it on thick or you will fill the pattern on the door and you may not be happy with the look. Lacquer dries kinda satiny dull which is exactly what you want ....

Glad you found some Dan and thanks for thinking of me but I'd better pass right now. Still trying to pay for the seats and all the gas for getting them .lol
Sure do love the seats though. My wife was even impressed and for her to get impressed with anything car or truck related is really doing something. lol
Be carfull masking these new panels off so you don't pull off the chrome. Maybe some of that fancy window spray on masking film would work?
Have you got to work on the engine install yet?

Glad the seats worked out for you. I hear the weather might not cooperate this weekend but gonna try getting the new engine painted and converted over to a mechanical fuel pump this weekend ...

The chrome trim is perfect on the new ones ... not so on the ones currently in the car ...

BTW ... the door panels currently in my car have been sold .... Thanks ...

My doors, dash and rear metal tray were sprayed with black/charcoal metallic lacquer.
DM is right, extremely light coats. We tacked them well first as there is no telling how
many coats of pledge and armour all were applied over the years to my panels. I used
steel wool as well to get the old paint off.

From Blue to Black ... I also Clear Coated the Chrome Strip so there is no chance of it peeling ....
