I know on LDO cars....the Maverick emblem was left off of the dash and a wood applique was put on instead. But....I was looking at a 1977 plain jain Maverick today. Not only does it not say Maverick anywhere on the outside.....but there was no dash emblem on the dash. Is this a 1977 thing or what???
Maybe they ran out and since it was the last yr., they didn't feel like stamping any more emblems! Seth
This is a hoot. I had my 77 for over 6 years, I even change it over to factory air from another 77, and I never noticed there was no emblem. I looked back through my pics and sure enough, nothing.
My 77' Maverick has no emblem on the dash, but the Stallion does. Come to think of it, all the 76' Mavericks I have ever seen had an emblem on the dash, but the 77' Mavs did'nt.
Neither my '77 Comet nor Darryl's '77 Maverick have a dash emblem. (My last '77 parts car had no emblem either). Darryl wants me to put an emblem on the dash now that it's been painted black. It's funny the changes Ford did in 1977, the final model year of the Maverick: Rear bumper supports are different. The short hood support. Different starters after 2/77 The absence of "Maverick" emblems
OK then how 'bout this,I've got a '77 mav and the front doors do not have the "grain" molded into the metal part around the doorpanels,it's smooth metal. These are the only ones I've seen like this, was that '77 only as well?
Warning: Old post revisted The 1977 I just parted out....once again.....NO WHERE does it say "Maverick" on the car.
