Somebody on here posted a chart or a link to a chart with various Ford products axle widths. I searched, but no luck....can anybody help with that? While I am not actively working on the '69 Maverick project, I have collected some parts. I may pass that project over to my Dad. He seems a little more excited about it at the moment. We have been given a drivetrain out of a '69 Mustang, 302 2V, 3spd manual. We are going to get everything. The car is a coupe and will be going to the junkyard when we strip it. I guess we will hang on to the tranny for now, I have a Maverick clutch/brake pedal assembly. I know the z-bar setup is different in the Mustang. Questions: 1)will the 3spd. tranny clutch fork etc. be any good for use with a 4 or 5 spd? (If I go 5 spd I'll be funding Franks ongoing projects buying his tranny crossmember) Should I keep the driveshaft? I can measure the one in the Comet, but it is an A/T. I don't know that they are the same for manual shift cars. 2)8 inch rear axle....how much wider will the '69 Mustang axle be than stock Maverick width? 3)I'll probably save the front spindles etc. Honestly, I don't know if it's a drum or disc car, probably the former. Either way, they should work to get us over to 5 lugs, correct? Other than stuff I may E-bay out to Mustang folks, is there anything else anyone thinks I should keep off of it mechanically for the '69 Maverick? Thanks, boys and gals. :Handshake
