I'm in the middle of doing a 73 rear bumper swap on my 74 and was wondering how to remove the mount from the frame rail. I took the 2 bolts out and smacked it with a hammer and nothing happen. Am I missing another bolt or 2 to get this off? Do I need a bigger hammer?

I just talked to Frank about this ... I told him either your not removing all the bolts .. or you need to hit it harder if it 's rusted on. I don't recall any issues removing them on mine.

There is another in the bottom of the rear frame rail, right around the shackle area.

I got them off...One bolt screamed like a school girl with each swing of the wrench...had to use my foot to push the wench each turn...and it was a long off-set boxed wrench! The other bolt hit the leaf spring eye before I smack the mount a couple times with a 5# sledge hammer to break it loose. This allowed the mount to swing back up in the frame rail leaving room to back out the bolt.
