im doing something wrong. when i lower the unit into the spring to remove my front coil's, i wind up spinning the screw rod into the upper control arm. i have tried a couple of different areas but it always works out the same. whats going wrong?
Turn the tool around. I know it's slower but it works. You don't want to use air wrench on the spring compressor, the hammering will kill the threads.
that did not work! the bolt just spins on thru. should'nt there be a nut to thi unit to hold in place? then it would tighten the hole thing together.
hey gene, i have "OEM 27035". I HAVE THE SPRING COMPRESSED. im trying to figure out how to remove the upper control arm so i can release it.
I built a spacer out of an old bicycle seat post for my compressor. Otherwise, you are correct in that the bolt hits the spring perch.
