Hi, This is my first posting. I own a 1972 Maverick Sprint Canadian version. I have never seen another one and was wondering if anyone knows how many there are? Thank You,
Got a pic? I have never seen one, and would love to see if there is any difference. Happy New Year!!!!! Earl
I think they are the same except for the flag and DSO. His should have a Canadian Flag where the US Flag is on The US models. And the DSO will be Canada.
There is someone on here that has one, have you tried doing a search to find it? Update: Found it, it's MapleMav, (click on his name for a link to his website).
Welcome to the board, killroy. I hope there are other survivors out there, but so far your car is the only other Canadian Sprint I'm aware of. I'd love to see pics of it. Curious to know which engine, rear axle ratio, shifter placement was it built with? And how did you happen to find it? Also make sure you get the door tag info to Mavaholic for his Sprint registry. Info here: http://www.maverick.to/mmb/showthread.php?t=17962&highlight=sprint+registry
wellcome to the board. i've got my 72 sprint all torn apart right now. would also like to see some pictures.
The engine is a 200 inline 6, with a c4 automatic (Column Shifted). It has an 8 inch rear end with 2.79:1 ratio. It has manual steering and brakes. It has a working underdash 8 track. I will post some pictures when I find them
Here are some pictures this car is unrestored because we are restoring a 73 Mustang Coupe and 72 Ranchero. This one is staying orginal so I am gathering parts right now.
Nice looking ride. I see it still has the Canadian flag decals intact on the quarters, mine unfortunately does not as it had received an el cheapo repaint at some point. Didn't get the trim rings with mine either. We may be traveling through Edmonton this spring on our way to BC, would be nice to see it up close...
Just let me know when you are in town and we will see about getting together so you have a closer look
Nice looking ride. I love the part about the difference in decals. That is definitely a "keeper" car.
