The tape recording doesn't do it justice...it changes tone at 4000 rpm and then hisses like a mountain lion...http://home.cmaaccess.com/~scodon/jpgs/super44installed.mp3 Since this is up, can someone tell me if that hesitation when I first take off is too rich or too lean. I just swapped to a richer metering rod and it cleared up most of it, I might try one more step richer and see if it goes away.
Rolandag is going to loan me a 750 DP Holley next time I go to the track. He says he has the "stuff" to tune it down to my car (that is too much carb for my engine). If I like, I might swap. The E-Brock is easy to tune, and I just found my "notes" from last year that have my winter and summer rods written on it. That fixed most of my lag today...before I swapped, it would just keep sputtering and popping until I backed off on the throttle. I think I might be able to go a little richer due to the 1.7 rockers...
Eldelbrock is a good carb, but I think a Holley will give you more balls. A 750 is too big for your motor. It'll be fun (and educational) to experiment with it though...
That is what roland said...he can tune it down and take some video footage at the track and then I can swap out the carbs and see how it affects ET (poor ET, he need to phone home ) If only it would stop raining so the track can open up...
I was being serious. Is there a ticking sound I can hear? May just be my speakers. It does sound awesome though!
Yeah, at low RPM, there is an exhaust leak that has been described in another thread. I thought you were being smart and trying to make a funny...
