After removing this ugly little cannister what did everybody do about venting their gas tank ? Can you just cap the line under the hood ? Vent back at the tank ? Anybody that's done this could you tell me what you did ? Thanks Rick

Not sure what everyone has been doing but don't just cap the line. With no where to vent you will have serious driveability issues.

I searched under canister and found a few posts. If Im reading this rite, it says you can run a hose from the vent tube, to the air cleaner and the vapor will be sucked in the motor and burned. Another opinion was to cap it off and get a vented (or vent your orig) gas cap. I personally plan to run mine to the aircleaner.

Its even easier than that. Look at the back side of the gas cap and you will see a hole in the very center. There is a check valve in there. You will find that you cannot blow air through it, but you can suck air in it. Its made to prevent getting a vacuum in the tank as the fuel is used up. All you have to do is take a drill bit the same diameter as the hole and drill the check valve out. Its made of plastic. Just be careful not to drill all the way through the cap. Once the valve is destroyed, the cap is now a vented cap.

:thumbs2:...that's how i did mine...then ran a short hose from the vent on top of the tank with a small plastic...lawn mower fuel filter...on the end.
