It was awesome meeting everyone and the new members as well, not sure if the young lady (Lisa) has joined the site yet, but she had a 1970 Black Maverick that was totally awesome and she did alot of the work herself. The other new member and his family were just great as well and he had a very nice Maverick with a 351 and a Gran Torino scoop fiberglassed in. Hopefully he will post pics of it.

I hope they will both get on here and show everyone their cars.

I think we were all a little blown away by the paint job on Lisa's car, totally black on the outside and every bit of it was a mile deep and slick as glass. When I asked her who did the body work and she said she did, I was just like, damn. Plus it's got a 302, T5 with hydraulic clutch, an 8.8 rear, A/C, a roll cage, fuel cell, battery has been relocated to the trunk, and it's a daily driver.

The other new car was awesome as well. It was a mostly original paint car, with a Gran Torino scoop grafted in the hood, 351W, and blue dot tail lights. Both were great cars and great people, and I hope they can make it to more of our meets in the future.

I had a real great time. I wish I took my camera so I could share pics. It was good to see old faces along with the new faces. The gag gift I received was a Michelle Obama calendar...but I won a $50 gift card from Summit as a door prize. :yahoo:

Maybe you could try and creating a thread for them and not put them here and there... if you hadn't already thought of it. They will be in a gallery anyway tho.

LOL! That's how I felt. A thread is like how you created the one where you introduced yourself. This here that i'm writing is a post within a thread. The whole place is a forum. Hope that makes sense.

No, I am too far away to enjoy any fun times . I only go to the meet in Waco TX and will be going to Joplin again this coming year.

Well, it hasn't been planned out yet, but I guarantee you we will have another Dixie Maverick Stampede this coming spring like we did this past spring. So be planning on making a trip north! :thumbs2:
