I'll be having more fun next weekend pulling the trans out of my mustang to fix some leaks and other maintenance.

You should be good at pulling that transmission by now. Shouldn't take you more than an hour!

taking it out is the easy part.

I got an idea. how about a Maverick meet at my house this weekend. It could be a 2 day event. we can park on my street and have our own car show. then we can do team building excercises like removing exhaust and tranmission from a Mustang. Then practice our problem solving skills on things like "Wheres that oil leak coming from" and "Why does the engine bay smell like gas" and dont forget "Where is the squeak coming from near the rear axle". Should be great fun for all and be a better productive member of the community because of it. Also a great thing to put on any resume.

I saw 4 mavericks. Purple was there. There was an orange one, a black one with a big block (I've seen it for sale on Craigslist), and a blue one. I ran into Joe, but I'm not sure if he had his there or not. It was a fun time.

would any of you guys be interested in a T5 out of a 4 cyl mustang? My brother has one that we were going to use in his falcon but the motor is too much for it now. It will handle the 250 or a stock 302 but a built 302 is too much for it. we collected a 5.0 hell housing and 5.0 50oz flywheel also.

    Saturday morning car show

This Saturday morning, June 1st, there is going to be a cruise-in at the Bill Johnson's Big Apple Restaurant at 19th Avenue and Bell Road. This is being put on by Nancy Perry Productions...I found out about it on Friday night at the K-mart cruise-in. There is no registration or anything like that...just show up. They are giving $5 gift vouchers for breakfast and event t-shirts for the first 100 cars. The only problem is it starts at 6:00am and runs till 9:00am...I know it's early but it will be cool outside so I think I am going. Anyone else interested?

Too early for me. I may go to Kmart in the evening but 110 degree temps mean its time for summer hibernation for the maverick.

I've got to pass as well Gene. The Maverick is a pile of parts again.

Small pile so far...mostly fuel injection stuff, although there is a cam sitting there that might get used as well.
