Shipping is still $150 though. If these things keep coming down, I may just have to buy one... link

I would be a lot more inclined to get one if the cowl weren't so big.

VIS racing makes the hood, the seller is called boomsell on evil-bay. Pretty lame name, but hey, whatever works. I know VIS stands behind their product though, so it wouldnt matter if "boomsell" went under. The cowl does seem a bit too high now that SOMEBODY had to point that out :D Thanks alot Ray :p I would rather have a grabber hood anyways.

sam, gotta agree that the shipping is high, but that's what it cost me to have my glass hood shipped from florida (us Body) to az ($155). came by truck. if i needed a new hood i'd definitely go for it. sounds like a good price for a quality hood.

FWIW, these prices may come down alot more. I paid $470 shipped for my CF Talon hood. Its a new product in VIS's catalog, so its starting out pretty pricey. Give it a few months and it may be even cheaper, or discontinued :D

I think that's an okay price. I plan to buy a hood in 2005. I just have to figure out what's the look i'm after. Thanks again for the info.

yep, it was a bunch of money to ship mine from Cali. to KY.

the hell of it was that the truck couold not get to my house. I had to drive to a local mall parking lot and unload it out of the semi.
Shipping these bulky items is gonna cost.

I called VIS Racing & thay have the hoods in stock. It $600 to get it to my front door in Tenn. That's almost cross country. This is not to much more than some of the glass hood. The only thing is that it has a 3 inch cowl. Will a 351 fit with the stock hood?

yes, a 351w will fit with a stock hood as long as you don't get a high rise manifold. then it might be iffy.:)

I think that's a great price, just don't like the size of the cowl.
