I've seen a couple of posts on gas milage for 6's, but nothing on V8's. I bought my Grabber about a year ago, but I haven't been driving far enough to calculate my gas milage -- mostly short local trips of a couple of miles or less. What kind of highway milage can I expect with a stock 1973, 302 V8?

The 302 in my 77' Maverick gets 21 miles to the gallon. I have to add that all the smog junk has been removed and we only run high test gas in it.

rosalinder. on the flats youll probably get around 18-20. when you start climbing the hill it will probably drop your mileage to around 15.i am assuming you are still on the stock 2 barrel.

I hear that! I can easily get 25 mpg out of my 6 cylinder when I can drive along a steady 65 - 70 mph. But the mileage is terrible in stop and go traffic, and unfortunately there is alot of that around here.. It even does pretty good around town as long as I can keep it rolling. I've got into a habbit now where I'll slow down way before a light if I see that it's red so that it turns green by time I get there so I never have to stop. ;)

The "WarMachine" doesn't need gas.......it consumes those worthless victims in it's way and sometimes it saves a bite for me;)
