What other symptoms [other than the gas guage] does a faulty Instrument Cluster Regulator affect?

Also, is this a Ford replacement part or aftermarket?

    Just curious.

The Gas gauge is really the only symptom I can see at least the only one I've ever had with mine. If you have an Analog Temperature Gauge it may throw that off, i'm not really sure if it effects the dummy lights it might though. As for replacement Auto Krafters sells a Genuine Ford Replacement part, I got mine out of of a 71 Comet at the Junk Yard though so far it's workin great.

Doug, it only supplies 5 volts to the fuel gauge circuit according to my info. If you need more info to trouble shoot the circuit, give me a hoot. There's not much to the circuit.

    Gage light cluster.

Is that 5 volt's too the gas gage only? and does that effect the dash light's... the reason I'm asking is I have the w5w bulbs just the 3 that light up the dash, and with the light switch turned all the way up isn't very bright!! so I found a 6 watt gas bulb that give's 85 lummens, verse 50.. I just dont want to fry anything so I havn't changed them, just curious if that control's the hole circut board, thank's any input would be great.:thumbs2:

The 5 volt regulator is for the gas gauge only.
