Stock distributor cap conversion to HEI style

    Has anyone converted the "old style" (stock) distributor cap to HEI style using the MSD-8414 kit? If so, please let me know if there was any problem with it. Thank you.

    You don't need the kit.
    If you have a stock distributor, all you have to do is go to your local parts house and buy the 3 parts.
    It is a lower cap adapter, upper cap, and taller rotor.
    Cheap and easy swap.

    The lower wasn't available anywhere but Ford for many years.
    That has changed, but the part doesn't wear, so you could also whip into a 'you pull it' yard and snatch one up used in about 10 seconds. Cheaper that way.
