The hardest part about replacing ball joints is drilling out the rivits, especially that back one. Now you might get luckly and find the ball joints in the car are not original. In this case it will be bolted on because someone already drilled out the rivits. You just jack the car up and support it by the frame, remove the wheel and remove the nut on the ball joint stud. You then need a forked tool to separate the ball joint from the spindle. Once thats done, just drill out the rivits or remove bolts, if your lucky. Assemble in reverse order. Pretty easy stuff.

Geeze your parts are expensive. You can get 2 Moog ball joints for around $90 here. BTW, Moog part # is K8142

That sounds more like it. I guess I got so focused on the ball joints, I didnt realize the price was for all of the parts.

Almost $400 for a couple of hours labor? Thats pretty expensive in my book, You could buy a hammer, foked ball joint separating tool, a drill, and the drill bits and still be ahead of the game. Even with no experience at all, it probably wouldnt take you more than 4 hrs to do it yoursef. Please dont take this the wrong way, but the only way to learn is to dig in and fix it yourself. You will be surprised on how easy it is. Plus you'll have tools to use on other projects.

You can do it and I'll bet when your done you wont believe how easy it really was. Plus look at all the money you'll save. If you got a digital camera, this would make a great tech article for the news letter.
