    "You see, West Coast's Magnum Opus is really a Ford Maverick, the sad-sack contemporary to the Pinto, and about as different from the handsome (and to American eyes, exotic) Australian Falcon XB as you can get."

    :rofl:

    From urban dictionary...

    Sad Sack

    An individual whose very presence lowers the tone in the room. Will complain about almost anything and will dress in plain, understated clothes. The human equivilent of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.

    "Hi everybody. Hope you're feeling better today than I am. Still can't find my Prozac anywhere, I'm getting really worried now. Must the Sun rise every morning in the east? Why can't..."

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    I actually kind of like it, but didn't appreciate the negative comments towards Mavs that the author of that article made. :cry:

    Whatever, there are always going to be haters out there. I like owning a unique (by today's standards) car that isn't terribly expensive to rebuild and own when compared to more popular cars of its era. I think it's cool they used a Mav, I like seeing them in TV and movies.

    eh. looks even more clapped together than the ones that are the actual movie cars.

    I wasnt too impressed with it. and yeah, the comments were crap.

    Awful. I had ideas of going for MadMax alike with mine some years ago but more the old original V8 Interceptor style. Skipped the idea, sadly those guys didn't...

    I like what they did with the Maverick and will enjoy watching it in the movie. only thing i would do different would to have it painted.

    Considering you can't easily buy an Australian falcon on every other corner, I think they do a good job replicating the car with the Maverick. That said I can't stand the West Coast crew. I look at all the shops that jump on the reality bandwagon and can't help but think they did it to keep the doors open.

    from what i read, the mav will be only in the game, but not the movie. well, let's see - i'm looking forward to seeing the movie on the big screen, too.

    looking forward to the game especially since theres a maverick in it

    also been drawing up some ideas to mad maxing my '72 maverick since its already pretty rough and I got it for round $600
    I was already planning on raising it a few inches to rally around on dirt roads (and so I can actually get under the car without having to jack it up)

    just gotta get her up and running all good like
