    Hello
Just looking to get some input on preserving my mavs for as long as I can. They are forever in a barn, never seeing winter, only driven in good weather for show and parades. I have heard of using por15 on the underside and all exposed metal(trunk and engine compartment) Any experience with this or suggestions on best way to go to preserve these baby's. Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

The best thing you can do is not store them over dirt. A lot of moisture comes out of the ground. Go get some thick plastic, lay it out, then park your car on top of it.

I should have stated earlier. This is a concrete floor pole barn. only time moisture seems to be a real problem is in the spring when the concrete is still cool and condenses the humid air. Thanks for the response. Again, looking for all input I can get to do the job properly.

Por 15 is good stuff. Have used personally on a 55'Chevy truck frame and floorboards.
It does as it states, blocks out moisture and other corrosives.Salt,rust,etc.
Just brush it on,or spray if you have a cheap gun.
    Hope this helps.

i used their gas tank restoration kit for my mav and was VERY happy with the results. I coated the outside with some of thier regular enamel too. my friend used it when he rebuilt his 86 monte carlo ss and the results were excellent; i'm planning to do some extensive coating on my mav, once i have some spare cash. i really do recommend their products, they're a little pricey but its money well spent.

I too have used Por15 and I will tell you it is a great product. I manage a body shop and also use it on all of my cars. I will be using it again this week on my latest project. Don't be afraid to get you some and try it...you'll like it and if used as directed should last forever. (y)

Ray, with your background, I would say that's an endorsement! (y)
Thanks, it's good to know that a bodyman would recommend it! :)
