You guys know about my Freebie Mav, that I hauled home from NJ. Well I just had a guy offer me $500 for it. I fixed the grill, put new brakes all the way around and cleaned all of the mold out of the interior. The only things that don't work are the gauge lights and the front e-brake cable is busted. Would you sell? Russ

Russ, I guess if the car was to get a good home to someone who might be catching the Maverick bug, it might be a good thing to sell it. Just my 2 cents worth.

If you have no plans or unable to afford to restore due to other projects(mavericks) :p then selling could help complete the other car. If you have no other mavs then no and I will kick your ass for selling out.

I would have to agree with Dan. If you dont have a real use for it, sell it. Since you are considering it, I would guess that is the case otherwise you would not...... You are the one that has to live with the decision.

I thought it was work transportation for you, especially with the engine problem with the diesel. They say that gas will get worse this summer.

I say keep it Russ. If not for me, then for the children. It means so much to them i woulndt want to break their little hearts.

Seriously Russ keep it. Four doors are great cruisers. You just need some time to bond with it.

It's kind of growing on me, but my 2 door will always be my baby. The biggest problem is I only have a one stall garage and I'm running out of room. The guy who wanted to buy it would just use it as a daily driver and it would get NO respect(not that a 4 door gets much to start with) $500 seams a little low the more I think about it. It's not really a bad car, I have driven it around the neighborhood and everything works as it should. I just can't justify putting it on the road as a 4th car. Insurance just cost too much for 4 cars and 2 drivers. What to do what to do????

good choice Russ, selling a car like that for that low of a price to a non-enthusiast means last stop for that car before the crusher. Spend some time with it, sell it to someone eventually who loves it for what it is.
