horse power of a stock 302?

    does anyone know the horsepower of a stock 302?

    What year? 2bbl or 4bbl? As an example the 302, 2bbl from 1971 is listed at 210 HP. Hope this helps!

    They changed the way HP is measured in 72-73 and that 210hp promptly became 140.

    1972 2 door 302 maverick, 1986 5.0 stang gt convertible,66 mustang coupe, HEMI ram
    141 to be exact. compression actually dropped half point also in 72 causing probably a very slight hp loss.

    This is why the roller blocks from 85 up are so attractive, 225 horse versus our 141, really no contest.
