Anyone have a pic with a Mav or Comet running steel wheels with beauty rings and center caps?

I like that, looks pretty slick. Has anyone run lower profile rings that show more of the wheel behind them? Also: if I get the collared lug nuts and low profile center caps from a Crown Vic, would they work on the stock 14" steelies?

I would be interested in them, actually. PM me a pic of them. They made several different styles and I want to make sure they're the ones I have in mind

Dorman makes the lug nuts with the collars. They are much cheaper than the factory/dealer units. I used ranger centers on my Dad's 99 Crown Vic. I found the CVPI caps looked too big and blocky.

I think I have a set of the thin 14" trim rings, but I'd have to take a look to make sure. They weren't very wide at all. They basically just covered the lip that the wheel weights clipped on to. I'll check this weekend and PM you some pics if you want.

    damn!.. those look nice, Paul!

as for the lower profile tires on 14's?.. IMO they look too small and need to be used on at least 15 inchers to gain the needed tire diameter to fill wheelwells properly. However, they do work great on the rear for shortening the gear when drag racing though.

I'd definitely be interested in seeing those trim rings. Sounds like what I'm looking for. Also, I love the Vic. I used to have an '02 CVPI, ex Washington State Patrol cruiser. Biggest mistake I made was getting rid of it :( I'd like to eventually get an '03+ CVPI and airbag it and throw some Mustang 17s under it. But that's a long way off.

You can get the lug nuts at the J'yard. I've got a box of them saved from various parts cars and wheel swaps.

Thanks! I bought them new and painted them body colour--Spruce Green. They would even fit on the Maverick, wheel and all.

Thanks! I have attached some pictures below.

This shows my Grabber with the original trim rings and hub caps.

This one shows just the hub cap.

This is with the 'narrow' trim rings I had squirrelled away.

Here is a shot of all four, compared to one of my original trim rings.

If you are interested, PM me. There are a few tiny blemishes (dents) in a few, but the trim rings all still show very well.
