My uncle owns a 1966 mustang and has a 200 in it. He bought a manual transmission to replace his c-4. He has everything for a manual conversion but the linkage. He told me that the transmission was English. I don't know what this transmission is and I don't think he does either. This is what he sent me in a recent e-mail.

"The four-speed I have was out of an old Falcon and I believe it's an
English transmission. The shifter falls short of the Mustang location
when we try to put it in with the standard linkage."

Does anyone know what type of transmission this could possibly be or where he could find a linkage for the transmission?

Sounds like a Dahgenham 4 speed. They came in some Mustangs and such, but only for the six cyl. Not a very strong trans, but behind a six, should be good.

Know anything about a linkage? Is there a place he could get one or does it have to be fabricated?

He just told me the Dahgenham 4 speed is what he has.

Dan; the shifters looked like the other 4 speed shifters, so I would imagine a Hurst shifter should work, or the linkage from one. Hard to say. Check with the Mustang resto houses and see what they can come up with. Good luck!!!
