yep mine has the key in the steering column so it's a 1970 all the way. one thing odd about my 1970 is when i removed the 250 6cyl and installed a 302 i ordered a throttle cable for a 1971 mav that came with a 302 as my 70 does not show a 302 in the parts books, the 1971 cable was 1 inch to long and i tried more then one maverick V-8 throttle cable and they were all to long, so i ended up using the NAPA parts/picture book and found a perfect match throttle cable for mine is a 1978 Ford LTD II with a V-8
