How to Export Your Private Messages (PMs)

With the tentatively scheduled upgrade of the MMB to be held the weekend of August 2, 2014, private messages (PMs) will be converted into personal conversations. Although all PMs will be converted, both received and sent PMs will be presented in the same screen (window), as the new forum software handles PMs differently.

This will only affect PMs prior to the software conversion and new conversations will not be affected. As a precaution, you may want to optionally export your PMs to make them available for offline searching.
Alternatively if you have many PMs, you may want to purge some of them prior to the forum conversion.

To get a feel for the new conversation system, create an account or login to this new forum I setup that is running the new forum software and start a conversation with me.

To export your MMB PMs:
1) Go to your PMs
2) Check the checkmark to select all your messages
3) Scroll down and click on “Text” to export them as text.
4) The exported file can be opened with a text editor.
