Photo Gallery Guidelines and Instructions

The Maverick/Comet Photo Gallery has been set up to share photos and videos of 1970 - 1979 Mavericks and Comets. The gallery is available to all for browsing, but uploading pictures is restricted to registered members with 10 posts or more and Supporting Members. Registered members can upload up to 40 megabytes of media and Supporting Members can upload up to 100 megabytes of media. Media can include pictures and video.

When uploading media, please upload it to the correct category. If the picture does not fit one of the categories, upload it to your Member Gallery. For example, if the picture is of your Maverick and Comet, the Member Gallery would be the best place to upload it.

How to use the Gallery

Uploading

Uploading media to the gallery is very similar to uploading pictures to the forum.

Once in the Gallery, click on the "Upload" link in the second navigation bar towards the top left of the fourm, which will bring you to the upload page. To select the media to upload from your computer, click on the Browse button. You can select only one media at a time, but can upload up to 5 media by repeating the process. If the upload fails, try uploading one media at a time.

Select the proper category that the media belongs to.

The rest of the information that the upload page asks for is optional, but would be nice if it was included.

Once you are finished, click on the Submit button.

The next page will allow you to make last minute adjustments to the media you want to upload before it is inserted into the gallery. Once you are satisfied, click on the Process button.

Editing an entry

You can edit/move/replace/delete the media you uploaded by clicking on Image Tools when viewing the particular media. In order for the changes to take effect, you must click on Save Changes.

Member Galleries

Member Galleries can be used to store images of your car build-up, meets, etc and should be used when the image does not fit in any of the gallery categories. When uploading, select "Member Gallery" as the category and it will be automatically placed in your gallery. You can also setup sub categories in your Member Gallery by clicking on the "My Stuff" link on the second navigation bar towards the top right of the forum and then clicking on "Category Admin".

Miscelaneus Features

Category Slideshow: Click on a category and then select "Slide Show" from the "Category Tools" link.

Rate Image: You can rate each image by clicking on the "Rate Image" link.

Send as e-card: Send an e-card by e-mail to a friend when viewing an image by clicking on the "Image Tools" link and select "Send as e-card".

Gallery Search: To search the gallery, click on the Search link on the second navigation bar(The search on the first bar is for the forum).

Comments: You can comment on the media in the gallery by typing your comment in the Quick reply box at the bottom of the media you are viewing.

BB Image Code: Allows you to easilly add pictures from the gallery to your post without having to re-upload the same image twice. Go to the image in the gallery that you want to include and copy and paste the BB Image Code to your post.
