About 3 years ago I spotted a very nice 70 white Maverick. 42k original miles and absolutely as sweet as a car you ever saw. Had just been purchased from the original owner. I have kept my eye on it. So last nite I was driving by it and some people were out working on it. I wheeled into the driveway and introduced myself. Seems the Dad bought the car for his boy and I can tell the boy does not like the car. One of the dudes with me had the balls to ask what they payed for it. $500.00!!! I offered them 3 grand for it. I think the kid swallowed his gum when he heard the offer. I gave them my card and they said they would call me if they decided to sell. Car is about 150 miles away from me, but I get by there bout twice a month. Told them I would stop by on my way to Roundup. Told them bout this message board and the MCCI. Dan
or else created a monster..... you know the ones that believe every old car they own is a barrett jackson car . better pass on it... its just trouble looking for a new home.:evilsmile
well, you're either going to get a car and they get a profit----or----they're gonna get on here and see what can be done with a maverick and keep it. either way you done good.
